What is New Year Gorham?

This community-wide event welcomes in the New Year with a celebration of the performing arts staged in a variety of venues throughout the town of Gorham, Maine.

Thank you for making this the best New Year Gorham ever!

New Year 2012 was ushered in by fantastic performances from music, magic, humor and song. There was also an awesome fireworks display to cap off the evening. New Year Gorham Chair, Ginny Wilder Cross, noted that “this was the highest attended New Year’s Eve in the four years of organizing this event!”

How will all this happen?

Volunteers, with the cooperation of the Town of Gorham’s public safety, fire, public works and recreation department, coordinate this community-wide event. Churches and other public buildings serve as various venues where performances are scheduled throughout the evening. They offer a variety of entertainment, which is presented for families and people of all ages to enjoy.
